苗博雅是台灣少數公開以同志身分參政的政治人物。他畢業於台大法律系,曾任廢死聯盟法務主任,長期關注司法改革、性別平權與人權議題。從街頭到議會,他總是堅持用行動表態,用制度實踐理想。
2018年,他當選台北市議員,2022年成功連任,成為台灣同志社群在政治領域的重要代表之一。他主張結構性平等,不為選票妥協,不為主流沉默。
除了從政,他也是《阿苗帶風向》的主持人與專欄作家,以犀利又不失溫度的語言,釐清社會迷霧、引領對話。他相信理念可以堅定,語言可以柔軟,而政治,應該服務於真正的平等與自由。
Profile
Miao Bo-ya is one of the few Taiwanese politicians who is openly LGBTQ+. He graduated from National Taiwan University with a law degree and previously served as legal director for the Taiwan Alliance to End the Death Penalty. He has long advocated for judicial reform, gender equality, and human rights. From the streets to the legislature, he consistently acts on his principles and puts ideals into practice through institutional means.
In 2018, Miao was elected to the Taipei City Council and successfully re-elected in 2022, becoming a key representative of Taiwan’s LGBTQ+ community in politics. He champions structural equality, refusing to compromise for votes or remain silent for mainstream approval.
Beyond politics, he hosts and writes for Ah Miao Leads the Way, using sharp yet empathetic language to clarify social issues and guide public dialogue. He believes that principles can be steadfast, language can be gentle, and politics should serve genuine equality and freedom.
